Most of the applications perform better if they are watered in with about a half of a inch of water.
The rule of thumb is one hour, for liquid or fogging applications, to let the treatment dry. If it is hot and sunny that time will be reduced. If it is cloudy and wet the time would be extended. Granular applications don't typically have a hold time.
Unless they ingest the herbicides / fertilizers there should be no issues. It may give them an upset stomach. If your pet is a "roller" with sensitive skin and rolls in a fresh application before it dries or is watered in. They may experience some itching. Our products are pet friendly but pets should stick to the "keep off lawn until dry" precaution as well. Move outdoor food and water dishes / toys from lawn areas before the applications is common practice. If those items are in the turf when we come out we will of course move them to a safe place.
Easy methods here. Deep and infrequent is the rule of thumb. Walk a path in the turf and check for footprints an hour later. If you still see footprints you need to water. If not. No problem.
General rules for all year performance.
Bermuda 2-3 inches
Zoysia 2-3 inches
Fescue 3-4.5 inches
Every site is different, it's own ecosystem if you will. If they truly don't do anything then there are actually weeds in the turf that are more green than the turf itself.

If you suddenly spot yellowing patches in your lawn, you might be under attack by these highly destructive pests that aggressively feed on all turfs. If left untreated, they can destroy a healthy lawn in just a few days. These small greenish-brown caterpillars feed at night and hide during the day. Our insecticide application targets and protects further infestation for 3-4 weeks and is safe for pets and children once dry. If you spot the signs, CONTACT US! Don't wait until it's too late, early detection and quick action are key to protecting your lawn.
